Branches Domestic Violence Shelter Candle Lighting Service
As a part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Branches Domestic Violence Shelter will host a candlelight vigil Tuesday, October 29 to raise awareness and honor domestic violence victims.
This will be an evening of reflection, sharing, and awareness about domestic violence.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Putnam County Courthouse, located at 3389 Winfield Rd, Winfield, WV 25213.
Participants can enjoy an inspirational evening of speakers, refreshments, and the candle ceremony to honor the victims who have lost their lives due to domestic violence in West Virginia. Branches will also host a memory table and paper lantern release in honor of those who have lost their lives due to domestic violence. Branches invites the community to bring photos of any loved ones that you wish to be memorialized at this event.
Refreshments will be provided by Little Life Preschool & Daycare & Rock-A-Bye Baby INC.
This once a year event is sponsored by Branches Domestic Violence Shelter, Putnam County Prosecutors & Victim Services, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, & Putman County STOP Team.
